Working On My Fitness

I mentioned earlier that I’ve recently gotten certified to teach Body Pump! IT was something that I never thought I would have the guts to do, but it turns out, I do have guts!


I use to be obsessed with Body Pump a few years ago….BP seems to have that effect on people. Unfortunately, I changed gyms and they didn’t offer it there, so it slowly faded from my workout regimen. Sad, huh. 

After the end of BP I went back on the cardio bandwagon. Elliptical city. Sweating my badonkey donk off everyday and not seeing anything in return. I knew something had to change. I tried personal trainers, tried doing it on my own, but I just couldn’t get dedicated. Then….like a angel from Heaven, Body Pump was back! Ok, maybe not that dramatic, but it was still great!

I started back into the group fitness obsession again in February of this year and there’s been no turning back. Not only was I taking BP, but I started trying other GF (group fitness) as well. Cycle, kickbox, yoga, etc. Such an awesome opportunity to switch your workouts up and meet new people friends that share your same interest! I began seeing great transformations in my body. I felt stronger, more toned and the best part…not flabby anymore! I have dropped jeans sizes and have shaved off a lot of inches!

After seeing the results with my own eyes, on my own body, I knew I had to take action to help others. I decided this time I was in it for the long haul and I wanted to preach the gospel to anyone that would listen. I decided to take the plunge and get certified! 

Here we are on the last day of our BP certification weekend with our Master Trainer, Shaunna May!

These days I usually hit the gym 3-4 times a week taking various GF classes. On days that I’m not at the gym, I have an elliptical at home that I do the following workout on:

1-4 minutes-0 resistance

4-7 minutes-5 resistance

7-10 minutes-10 resistance

10-15 minutes-15 resistance

15-20 minutes-18 resistance

20-40 minutes-20 resistance

40-45 minutes-15 resistance

45-50 minutes-10 resistance

50-55 minutes-5 resistance

55-60 minutes-0 resistance
